Clara Morin Dal Col to seek the Presidency of MNBC – July 15 - Clara Morin Dal Col announced today that she will be seeking the Presidency of Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) in the 2024 election. In making her announcement, she said, “This current Board has shown total governance incompetence when it comes to fiscal accountability and representing the interests of true Métis people in British Columbia. Clara Morin Dal Col announces First Members of Team for the 2024 MNBC Election - November 17 - Leadership experience at the community level are hallmarks of the members of the Clara Morin Dal Col Team for the 2024 Metis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) General Election. As we continue building our team, this first group of candidates announced today have all been former Métis Community Presidents who served their communities tirelessly and who are still very much involved in addressing the needs of MNBC Citizens. MNBC Board’s Annual Remuneration Now Exceeds $1 million – September 8 - The total annual remuneration for the Board of Directors of Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) now exceeds $1 million, an eye-popping 41.7% increase in one year. 10.First Nations’ Chiefs Council Resolution Goes After MNBC and BCMF – June 16 - The Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC) has issued a scathing resolution against Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) and another Métis organization in BC – the BC Métis Federation, claiming among other things that MNBC and the BCMF regularly engage in what the Chiefs Council calls a form of Métis colonialism and then goes on to reject a number of MNBC’s claims regarding Métis rights. https://www.presidentclara.com/post/first-nations-chiefs-council-resolution-goes-after-mnbc-and-bcmf
